A resting season

You know that old saying about the best laid plans? It’s true.

If you’ve noticed it’s weirdly quiet around here, there’s a reason: After managing to escape for so long, we have both finally caught that little germ that’s been everywhere since 2020.

Thankfully we both seem to have mild cases, but even that has not been what one would call ‘fun,’ especially in the lead-up to the holidays.

As with several other plans (including decorating my Christmas tree – I did at least get colored lights and a felted-ball garland on it), those I had for this space have been changed. Instead of trying to force/finish stranded posts to generate content, I’m going to allow myself this time to rest and complete recovery.

At least my Christmas village is still up from last year. It’s brought me smiles all year, and I’m still loving the way it looks spread along the top of my bookshelves.

May you all have a safe and healthy holiday season, filled with tasty treats, good reads, and sparkling memories.
