Reading Recap: February

This year is off to such a good reading start, y’all. The stories I pick up have been interesting and entertaining, I’ve not felt the need to bail/DNF anything yet {I’m pro-DNF, but it is nice not to have to}. I’ve also been doing better balancing my library reads and reading my own shelves.

Titles & Star-Ratings (with format!):
📖 Finding Mr. Purrfect (Codi Gary) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
📖 Lunar Love (Lauren Kung Jessen) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
📱 House of Flame & Shadow (Sarah J Maas) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
📖 Arya Khanna’s Bollywood Moment (Arushi Avachat) ⭐⭐⭐
📖 The Blonde Identity (Ally Carter) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
📖 Fourth Wing (Rebecca Yarros) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Clearly February was another winning reading month, in spite of being short. Look at all those stars! And the pages really added up too: according to the data {Goodreads and The Storygraph}, I read 2,644 pages in 29 days. {Not counting the 80% of an ebook I didn’t quite manage to finish before the month ended}. As I said: such a good reading year so far.

Also: House of Flame & Shadow … One of my most anticipated reads of the year, and it did not disappoint. So good. So so good. Crazy fast-paced, from page 1, and yet SJM still managed to up the ante the last 100 pages of the book. I don’t know how she does it, but I will gladly read and reread. My work bestie and I read this one together {mostly; I finished ridiculously fast, oops}, and plan to start working our way through the Throne of Glass series soon. That will be a reread for me, and a first read for her, so I’m very excited for that.

Another book totally worth the hype? Fourth Wing. I know, I’m late to the game on this one, but when a copy landed at the library/the holds list was finally gone, I decided to pick it up for the interval before we start Throne of Glass. Took me a minute to get into it, but then I was hooked – to the point I ordered my own copy, and a copy of Iron Flame, and returned the library’s. Clearly I am in my Fantasy Reading Era.

How did your February reading stack up? Read something amazing? Did anything earn a DNF? Tell me all your bookish news!
