Another busy month, with lots of time spent outside and a handful of adventures sprinkled in the mix. We’re settling into a routine, the garden is growing with gusto, and the days are stretching longer and longer. It’s a transition season, and it has been full of moments to remember. Scroll on to see what we’ve been up to. {Don’t forget, when there’s multiple pictures grouped in a gallery, click on one to see it full-size}.

While technically this happened April 30th, I’m counting it as the start of a fabulous May: a daytrip to the mountains, after not seeing them for 18+ months. It may have been overcast and sprinkling, but my heart was so happy to be back on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

It’s always a fun day when the cows are in the field by our house. Now they’ve {finally} gotten used to me, they’re very curious and social. And I absolutely love being able to give the little bottle-baby nose scritches. {I got to feed him for a weekend, and he’s such a sweetheart!}

We bookended the month with a daytrip to the coast – along with everyone else in the surrounding area, ha. We may not have been able to walk on the sand or dip our toes in the ocean, but we were able to walk out on a pier above the waterway and smell that salty tangy breeze.

This year has been flying by, and while it’s had some rough moments, it’s also had so many moments to treasure. From stunning skies to neighbor cows to quick road trips, May has been a fabulous month. Now that we’re sliding into the summer season, I’m looking forward to garden harvests and evenings at my in-laws’ pool. Who knows what adventures we’ll have along the way …
