My Christmas is Booked: Check-In

Continuing my tradition of reading check-ins on the 25th, it’s already time for the first one! Shocking how time flies when you’re having fun. Since I give little mini reviews in my Bookmarked posts, I won’t go into too much detail on the check-ins this year, but I still want to stop and look at what I’ve read so far. And what I’ve added to my personal library collection {and theoretical TBR}.

Jenny Bayliss is truly one of my favorite holiday authors, and I look forward to reading her new book every year. This one was so good, and will likely be added to my shelf. I actually purchased copies of The Twelve Dates of Christmas {soon to be a Hallmark series!} and Meet Me Under the Mistletoe to reread, and cannot wait to revisit those stories. Bayliss is Queen of Small Towns at Christmas.

I have a feeling there will be many “bonus” audiobooks added to the mix this year. Christmas books usually make for easy listening, and it will be a good way to catch up on some of the titles I’ve missed in years past. Being able to custom-tag books in Libby has made this super easy, and I can sort my “🎄” tag by audio when I need a new listen.

Off to a slow start, with only 2 festive reads completed for this first check-in, but we are all about savoring the season. That’s why I start so early! As the weather continues to slide deeper into “chilly” territory, I have a feeling the reading time will start climbing.

Have you started your festive reading yet?
Keep an eye out: I’ve got some recommendation posts coming in the weeks ahead.
The first one? Sugarplum-free reads, when you want something mErry and not mArry.

    • That’s one reason I try to avoid year-long/super involved challenges: I have a bad habit of having a lot of the prompts to catch up on by the end of the year, haha. (ARCs I am definitely behind on, a little, but it will be what it will be at this point. Unfortunately).
