Glimpses of March

It has been a while since I’ve posted one of these pictorial recaps of the month, but March feels like a good time to bring it back. While it has been a busy month, and there have been posts about garden work and kitchen fun and my bookish crochet, there are still so many photographs that don’t have a neat spot of their own. Thus: the return of Glimpses.

We planted mixed daffodil bulbs in the Fall,
and seeing what blooms has been such a Spring highlight.
Nothing says “Winter is over” quite like the peaches blooming.
The plum at my parents’ house was showing off too.
The sunsets are showing more color.
Sometimes a lot more color, thanks to controlled burns in the area.
The full moon was so bright.
But my Winter stars are fading.
Even the Kindle got a springy refresh.
Shifting seasons means volatile weather,
and a doozy of a storm rolled through one day.
A bigger Flower Farming update soon, but aren’t these gorgeous?
Pippin laid the most enormous egg!
Left: Pepper egg.
Middle: Pippin’s extremely large egg.
Right: Pippin’s regular egg.

We tried the viral Dill Pickle Dip, and oh my gosh. It’s beyond delicious. We will definitely make this one again! It was very simple to put together, and the flavors got better the next day. So yum.

This is a post that’s heavy on the images and low on the words, but sometimes pictures truly speak for themselves. The color coming back into the world. The signs of life reemerging, and the seasons continuing their cycle and pattern. We might not be formally recording our FJIGgy moments right now, but these things all brought deep JOY in my day/month.

I hope March has been kind to you, and that you are starting to see signs of Spring in your life and world. Here is to an April that blooms in beauty and joy!
