Reading Recap: November

This is one of the months that is surprising to see – I started out really strong, and then it just … stopped? I was still reading, but everything was sloooooooow going. The Star Wars book alone took me ages to get through, ha. But I also walked away from an audiobook that I’ve shelved as “return to later, not as an audiobook”. Some stories just don’t translate as well as others (or maybe it’s the narrator?). And I bailed on one of my festive reads, because while it seemed cute, it turned into a whole lot of repetitive internal dialogue on the part of both main characters. So … that explains where some of my reading went. Read on for what I did manage to finish.

Titles & Star-Ratings (with format!):
📖 A December to Remember (Jenny Bayliss) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
📖 Peril in Paris (Rhys Bowen) ⭐⭐⭐1/2
📖 Love in Winter Wonderland (Abiola Bello) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
📖 From a Certain Point of View: Return of the Jedi (Various) ⭐⭐⭐

On the whole, I’m taking this as a win. Especially going into the holiday season and all that extra busyness. With December looking even more packed, we’ll see how my reading year wraps up … I do still have several books I am excited about and want to get to, so hopefully that will work out.

Have the holidays been impacting your reading? What’s the best thing you read in November?

    • Crazy right? Earlier this year I was going through them like candy – and now I’m struggling … Just started a new one today, in a series I’ve been doing on audio, so fingers crossed!
