While the Summer of Jane will end on August 31st, there is no end to Jane Austen season. It is always a good time to read {or watch} Austenesque stories, because they are so relevant to everyday life. I’ve frequently joked that if there isn’t a Jane Austen quote {or a Disney lyric}, is it even a real situation? All that to say: the official “campaign” may end next month, but the reading doesn’t have to. In fact, today I’m going to highlight some eagerly anticipated upcoming Austenesque releases.

Elizabeth of East Hampton is the follow-up book to Emma of 83rd Street, and I am quite excited to pick this one up {with an August release, it may count for Summer of Jane!}. We were briefly introduced to Will Darcy in Emma of 83rd Street, and this promises to be an entertaining read.
I don’t mind if you mess with Jane {within reason: I will never be a fan of zombies or vampires}, so I am super intrigued by Pride and Prejudice in Space. Also, can we take a moment to appreciate that cover? So. Gorgeous.

As evidenced by my love of the Mr. Darcy & Miss Tilney Mysteries, I am a fan of delving back into Jane’s world and having her characters “live on” – and solve mysteries. I think Emma Knightley will make a fabulous investigator in Murder in Highbury, and cannot wait to get my paws on this first installment in a new series.
Another new series will start with In Want of a Suspect, and I can’t decide if I’m more in love with the premise or the cover of this one. {This will be a spin-off duology, so I’ve got even more motivation to read the original trilogy now!}.
Do any of these sound intriguing to you, what’s being added to your TBR? Any other upcoming Austenesque releases that should be on my radar?

Pride and Prejudice in Space definitely sounds interesting! 😂 I hope it still does Jane justice, lol. The cover for Murder in Highbury is adorable as well!

I am very excited to see how Pride and Prejudice in Space works – I’ve read some pretty wild retellings before {Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters was so much fun!}, so we shall see 😀
