Fall into reading

Reading seasonally is particularly appealing this year, and while preparing for the {very welcome!} shift to “cozy season,” I’ve been making a mental list of books that seem fallish. Quickly realizing my list would surpass my mental recall, I decided to make an official post. This is not a hard-and-fast TBR, however all the books included are ones I really want to read. I’ve also made the decision to focus primarily on backlist titles, since I’m trying to read more of my Book of the Month (BOTM) selections and make general TBR progress. That said, there are a few titles releasing this fall that I am super excited about {okay, there are a lot of titles I’m excited about, ha}, and had to go ahead and include.

Book selection was quite technical: Whatever fit the vibe I was looking for. I want reads that are cozy and comforting, but I’m also very much into the idea of atmospheric fantasy. I feel like this selection covers that broad range, and again – there are so many others I could have included.

Have you read any of these? What do you like to read during Fall?

Stay tuned for more seasonal reading fun: details and my festive TBR for My Christmas is Booked will go live next week {going to try and post updates on the 25th of each month}.

For the Garden and Bee loving readers of this blog: fear not, there will be more of those posts as well. September has a very bookish feel to it, and that’s part of living by the seasons in my world.

  1. I’ve just added a couple of these to my TBR although I need to check if one is actually on it as it sounded vaguely familiar once I checked it out šŸ˜‚ that version of A Fragile Enchantment is beautiful šŸ˜ I might try to check A Sorceress Comes To Call out soon as I really need to try something by the author. I also own the ebook of June Farrow and can’t believe I haven’t picked it up yet šŸ™ˆ

I never seem to get to seasonal reading but I always like the idea of witchy stories in fall or things like vampires. Having really enjoyed a couple of cosy fantasy novels I need to try and check the genre out more too though.

I hope you enjoy whichever ones of these you get to and hopefully discover some new favourites.

    • I’ve had the problem with other people’s lists: thinking I want to add it and discovering it’s already there, lol
I swooned a little over that version of A Fragile Enchantment – it is just SO gorgeous in person. Kingfisher is a wild ride, I really enjoyed Thornhedge, and have high hopes for Sorceress šŸ¤ž At least your copy of June Farrow is an ebook and thus “out of sight” – mine has been living on my bookshelf/coffee table since I got it from BOTM last year šŸ˜‚

Here’s to cozy fall reading for both of us!

      • It’s hard to keep track with so many books out there. Especially when covers differ at times too šŸ˜‚
Yeah I imagine it is gorgeous to see in person šŸ˜ hopefully the story will be just as beautiful šŸ¤žI hope it lives up to your expectations. Well I have plenty of physical books on my owned TBR too so don’t feel too bad šŸ™ˆ

        Sounds lovely šŸ‚
