When we get snow here in North Carolina, 19 out of 20 times it happens overnight, and we don’t get to watch the snow fall. So the fact that I got to watch it snow for hours yesterday afternoon and this morning makes my heart so very happy.
In total, we probably got an inch and a half or so, with a little sleet in the mix last night, so it wasn’t The Big Snow they were forecasting a week ago. {We won’t talk about the fact the snow is almost entirely gone already, as we’re barely above freezing and the windchill is in the teens}. What this snow did offer however, were the cutest, most perfect snowflakes I’ve ever seen in my life.

I’m still waiting on a deep snow, but this is the most snow we’ve seen in a winter in quite some time. And we’ve still got a way to go before the “spring thaw” – I remember some epic snows that came in early March. Maybe we’ll get lucky again this year.
Hope you’re staying warm, and your reads are enjoyable. Is it snowing for you?
As I said on Instagram lovely pictures. I’ll keep my fingers crossed that you get a big snowfall like you’re hoping for 🤞 I rarely get snow and when I do it comes and goes pretty swiftly as it has for you lately too. I really do love the detail on all those individual snowflake pictures ❄️

Fingers crossed! 🤞🤞 And I was amazed by the snowflakes – you could see them with your naked eyes too, not just zoomed in on the camera. I had the most perfect one melt on my finger ❄️

Wow that’s incredible 😍😍 I’m going to have to see if the same happens if it ever snows here. I’m not holding out much hope that it will though. I seem to live in an area that generally gets missed 😓

Aww it looks like you found some pretty picture-perfect snowflakes, so cute!
We also have a ton of snow where I live at the moment but I’m less enchanted and more annoyed, we’re at the piles of pee-snow and brown sludge stage now 😅

Yeah, when we have had big snows in the past, it definitely loses some luster once it gets into the “colored sludge” stage 😂 I guess that is one real benefit of how fast these little snows have been disappearing, ha. And if I get to see more of these gorgeously perfect snowflakes, I’ll take it! ❄️

Yeah that’s nice you get the snow for the magical time and it goes away and leaves the ground perfectly nice afterward 🙂 Sounds like you got the perfect snowy moments indeed !

Love the snowflake pictures! I think that storm was supposed to hit us with more snow, but we only got a coating in PA. So glad you were able to enjoy its beauty.
