We recently had a day of fog. Not just a foggy morning, but a heavy, wet fog that lingered until 4 o’clock in the afternoon. It made for messy outside time, but the water-saturated air was good for the growing plants. And then we noticed the flowers: that wet air transformed the blooms into diamond-studded jewels. As we looked, we saw more subtle masterpieces – like the spiderwebs in the cedar. Truly beautiful, and I’m so glad we stopped long enough to really see. Sharing today, because Mondays always need a little extra beauty.

I hope everyone came through the weekend’s wild weather safely, and here’s to a wonderful week. And remember: Spring arrives in a few days, we’ve almost made it through the Winter!
Such stunning flowers! Are they pansies or violas or both? My daffodils just started to bloom. Normally by now they are in full force- I guess we’ve had an extra cold winter. I am so ready for spring.

This year I actually went with Johnny Jump-Ups (although there’s one cluster that has much bigger blooms, that might be one of the others). I do have violas in my growbags/under a makeshift greenhouse tunnel and they’re going like gangbusters right now too 😀 My daffodils are starting to peter out, but I’ve yet to see any wisteria blooming which is always my spring herald.

Oh my goodness I love the pics of your violets all sparkling with dew. A miracle indeed. We really do tend to see the fogs in life and not the beauty that lies within it. We were under a tornado watch yesterday but I’m thankful all we got was some rain and thunder. The rain did make my tulips and daffodils happy 🙂 Not in bloom yet but budding and so green and pretty. Hope you have a lovely week, Rebecca!

Beautiful pictures. I love all of the pansies in their various colours. I can’t see the red and yellow ones without thinking of Alice In Wonderland for some reason though 😂 I also agree that moisture on spiderwebs can look stunning. I hate the thought of walking into them but seeing the designs can be incredible.

LoL, to Alice in Wonderland. But also: I can see it! 😂 The best part about moisture on spiderwebs, other than looking gorgeous, is that you can see them better in general. I ran into one the other morning, that did NOT have waterdrops on it, and was like “ugh, the spiders are back in business” 😑

I’m glad it’s not just me being weird 😂😂 very good point. Going into them because you can’t see them isn’t a pleasant experience. I’ve had that happen too and then I panic that there could also be a spider on me somewhere 🙈
