Glimpses of March

Between wacky schedules and yo-yo weather, not to mention insane windiness, March has been a very full, sometimes wild, month. Sprinkled throughout were moments of surprising beauty, seasonal hope, and even a dose of awe. I love sharing these moments with y’all, because we all benefit from taking time to savor the small joys.

The skies had much to offer this month, from gorgeous colors to astronomical happenings to seeing an astronaut-laden shuttle launch.

The Blood Moon, total lunar eclipse. Photos don’t do it justice.
SpaceX launch with astronauts to relieve and return the ones stranded on the Space Station.
Absolutely unreal to see that, and know people were on board.

The world is now fully embracing “spring growth,” complete with a phenomenal amount of pollen, and the blooms demand to be noticed.

While a proper garden update will be forthcoming, we have been quite busy – and things are really starting to take off and grow. So very proud of the cabbages; remember: we started them from seed in January! And I loved watching the green beans sprouting process, every day a little closer, until we got leaves. The row basically exploded with baby bean plants overnight.

If March is any indication, we will have a busy Spring – but hopefully one that continues to offer beautiful surprises, delicious meals {and time with friends}, and all the things that make a cozy life.

How was your month? Is Spring finally beginning to … spring?

Spring officially arrived, and there have been some gorgeous blooms. The sky also showed off quite a bit, including the chance to watch astronauts launched into space. […]
