April has been a full month, with lots of time spent outside in the garden, and inside with the baby chickens, and holiday shenanigans and any number of things to keep us busy. The world has shaken off winter – though there have been some cold mornings, even frost! – and everything has that “pent up energy” feel. It’s a glorious time to be alive, if you can dodge the pollen.

And when the petals fall, it’s like soft pink rain.

Which means pretty flowers + “date morning” drives to pick them up.

Such a lovely oasis in the middle of the city.

I can’t wait to eat them, ha

… but we have also hit 80*, so maybe not so early?

{I was checking for auroras, with no luck}

How was your April? Hopefully filled with many moments of hope-giving joy and beauty, and fabulous adventures as Spring gains momentum. Now onward to May, with longer days edging toward Summer, and more chances to find the beauty in the world around us.
I sure love these photos, Rebecca. They depict everything farm life in the spring should be 🙂

Ooh how lovely to win a spring bouquet flower subscription 🥰 and that tree is stunning. I love seeing all the blossom and flowers around at this time of year. Revisiting the place you got married sounds wonderful and it looks lovely too. Did you pick those strawberries from your garden already? I always love peonies too. And omg you saw a calf this week too. How sweet that they remembered you.

The strawberries came from a local farm, but I do have a few that are approaching ready in my little {teeny tiny} patch! 🙂

I am so jealous of the fresh strawberries. We’re nearly two months away from that here in Eastern Canada. But the time will come and I will be ready!

Yours will be coming in by the time ours leave, so I’ll be jealous of you then 🙂🍓
