It has been a while since I’ve posted one of these pictorial recaps of the month, but March feels like a good time to bring it back. While it has been a busy month, and there have been posts about garden work and kitchen fun and my bookish crochet, there are still so many photographs that don’t have a neat spot of their own. Thus: the return of Glimpses.

and seeing what blooms has been such a Spring highlight.

But my Winter stars are fading.

and a doozy of a storm rolled through one day.

Middle: Pippin’s extremely large egg.
Right: Pippin’s regular egg.
We tried the viral Dill Pickle Dip, and oh my gosh. It’s beyond delicious. We will definitely make this one again! It was very simple to put together, and the flavors got better the next day. So yum.

This is a post that’s heavy on the images and low on the words, but sometimes pictures truly speak for themselves. The color coming back into the world. The signs of life reemerging, and the seasons continuing their cycle and pattern. We might not be formally recording our FJIGgy moments right now, but these things all brought deep JOY in my day/month.
I hope March has been kind to you, and that you are starting to see signs of Spring in your life and world. Here is to an April that blooms in beauty and joy!
Wow! Look at that egg! Very impressive, Pippin!
I love seeing all the flowers and scenery. What a beautiful place!

I was so surprised when I saw how big it was! No wonder she was screaming/squawking so much after laying!
We are really fortunate in our location, and as the world continues to green up and more things bloom … ❤ So pretty.

It looks like a lovely month. I always love seeing the blossom at this time of year – sadly our cherry tree didnt have much this year as I gave it a major cut down last year, it was getting much too big for the size of our garden though and I’m sure it’ll be back to usual next year. The sunsets look beautiful and I love that daffodil variety. For some reason only one of the ones I planted a few years ago came up this year 🙈 lovely flowers, I look forward to the update 💐 and OMG is that egg big. Perhaps it was in celebration of Easter 😅

Yay blooms! 😀 Sometimes daffodil bulbs have to dug up and replanted a little closer to the surface + spread out more, as they replicate they get crowded. 🙂
I was so shocked by that egg! 😂

Thanks for the tip. From last time I planted something around where they are I think the bulbs may have mostly vanished. Im sure something digs them up at times. On the bright side my latest cornflowers are growing. Now I just have to try to move them into a bigger pot (once I have one, last time I moved them straight to the ground but I’m not doing that again) without crushing them in the process 🤞
I’m not surprised 😅

At this point in the season, I am fairly certain a mole/vole ate very well this winter: very few of my liatris bulbs have come back, and there’s a veritable maze of tunnels over there. Oof.
Yay cornflowers! 😀 Hopefully they’ll like the up-potting process and then be happy when you move them to the ground! 🤞🤞

Oh no I’m so sorry to hear that. I just looked liatris up and they look like such pretty plants. Its so frustrating when something ends up digging up and/or devouring your bulbs.
Here’s hoping 🤞 I’m letting them grow a bit stronger minus the lids atm as the stems are so weedy that I’ll crush them if I try moving them right now 😬
