Summer of Jane: Upcoming Releases

This is one of my favorite posts, because it’s a chance to share and celebrate all the upcoming releases in the Jane Austen universe! Last year was a huge year, with it being Jane’s 250th birthday and all, but there are still plenty of new books on my radar.

Needless to say I am very impatiently waiting for The Fatal Unpleasantness at Netherfield {out today! Spoiler: no preorder, because I believe there’s a birthday trip to the bookstore coming soon}. This series has been such a joy to read, and I’m very curious about this installment’s journey.

I’m also very excited Claudia Gray will be finishing The Watsons later this year! Picking up where someone like Jane left off can be a monumental undertaking, but I am confident Gray will provide us with a fabulous story.

Very intrigued by the premise of Most Ardently Yours {shades of Lost in Austen, with Mr Darcy coming off the page}, and I have to include Murder at Enscombe Park, because Emma Knightley as a sleuth is one of the best developments in the Austenesque universe.

I read Austenland and Midnight in Austenland on their initial release, and am a tremendous fan of the movie {it’s perfectly ridiculous}. When I saw Shannon Hale’s announcement of Christmas in Austenland, as well as updated editions of the previous two? Definitely added to the list.

In the world of Sense and Sensibility retellings, you often get one Dashwood sister or the other. Ruth Mitchell decided to give us both sisters, with their own books. Unromantic is Elinor’s story, and Romantic is Marianne’s, and I think this is the most wonderful idea.

Are any of these upcoming releases on your radar?
Have you heard of any that I have missed and should know about?
