In years past, new releases frequently end up becoming my festive TBR. After changing things up and not making an official list of books to read this year, I decided to make a separate post highlighting the year’s new festive reads. Obviously, this list is far from exhaustive, but these are the books most catching my eye. If I’ve missed one that is on your list, please share! There’s no such thing as too many holiday books.

- Murder on 34th Street | Mariah Fredericks
- It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Murder | Ally Carter
- The Santa Claus Con | Lauren Kung Jessen
Sometimes you need a festive read that has a bit of mystery to balance the sweet, and I’m totally supportive of that! I’m especially excited to read It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Murder, because I loved the previous book: The Most Wonderful Crime of the Year!

- Snow This is Love | Various Authors
- The Little Shop of Merry and Bright | Jenny Bayliss
- Falling Like Snow | Misty Wilson
As much as I love a mystery, I love a good romance even more. Jenny Bayliss is my Queen of Christmas reads, and I always look forward to her latest. I actually still need to read Falling Like Leaves, but this second installment in the YA series sounds so cute!

- Christmas in Austenland | Shannon Hale
- Belle’s Christmas Carol | Michelle Griep
- Twelve Days and Twelfth Night | Sarah Sundin
I will always be interested in stories with a nod to literature, and with two of these being novellas it’s even easier to get a literary festive fix! Also: I’m rereading the updated Austenland novels, before diving into this Christmas installment.
