This has been the year for Jane Austen books, with so many wonderful releases occurring already, and somehow there are still more to come! Today I’m sharing the ones I’m most looking forward to, but I have a feeling this list is nowhere near complete.
To start things off, we have new installments of existing series being released, and I cannot tell you how excited I am! Can we take a moment to appreciate the covers? I mean really. They are all so stunning in their own way, and I can’t wait to see them added to the others on my shelves.

- The Rushworth Family Plot | Claudia Gray
- Anne of Avenue A | Audrey Bellezza & Emily Harding

- A Matter of Murder | Tirzah Price
- Murder at Donwell Abbey | Vanessa Kelly
We are also getting stand-alone offerings, in both adult and YA. As wildly different as they are, they both sound like intriguing additions to the Austenesque collection.

- The Austen Affair | Madeline Bell
- The Cuffing Game | Lyla Lee
We can also look forward to more nonfiction about Jane and a short story collection about her secondary characters. I’m a fan of Austenesque short stories, so this one definitely caught my eye.

- Wild for Austen | Devoney Looser
- Ladies in Waiting | Various Authors
Have I missed something that is on your new and upcoming release radar? Please share if so, because there’s no such thing as too many Austenesque books!
It looks like you’ve got some interesting books to check out. I hope all the sequels live up to your expectations and it’ll be interesting to hear if the time travel element goes well in The Austen Affair.
When I saw your Instagram post it reminded me of one series but looking Tirzah Price up I refound another Austen retelling on my TBR 😂
Ooh hope the short story collection goes well too. Sounds like a fun idea for one…although I feel like I should discover her characters before trying it.

I love discovering things on my TBR that I forgot 😂
I am so very intrigued by the time travel element – sometimes it works so well, sometimes … not. And the sequels: I need the sequels!
The short story collection sounds so fun, and I’m very curious how it will work and which characters will be featured. There’s a lot of “non-leading ladies” (there’s also a lot of leading ladies, ha)…

Same here. I’ve actually gone to add a few things in the past and found them there already 😂🙈
I know what you mean as it’s a hard one to get right and for some reason it makes me nervous. Yet I’ve really loved some books that have used it in the past.
Hopefully you’ll be excited by who they decide to feature in it and you’ll majorly fall for some of the stories. I love it when I read that kind of collection and come away wanting a full length novel of some of the stories 😂

Wow there really are so many new Austen-y books coming out! A Matter of Murder sounds fun and I like the cross stich-looking cover! Also Wild For Austen sounds super interesting too 🙂 Great list! 🖤

And this doesn’t even take into consideration the Austen-y books that have already released this year! YAY for Austen! 😀 haha And yes, I adore the cross stitch look of the cover – the original series this one spun off of also has an embroidery look to it and they’re just all so gorgeous 🙂

Yeah, wow it’s wild how many there have already been! 😲Oh wow that’s so pretty I love that the spin off is sticking with the fiber arts look too!
