September Feasts

Even with some wild work schedules, and round 2 of “the Summer cold,” we managed to squeeze in some yummy eats and treats in September. Flavor profiles are starting to shift, as what is fresh and available changes, and it won’t be long before soups and other rich comfort foods hit the menu. Until then, we’ll keep blending the seasonal flavors and see where it takes us.

We tried a new restaurant that specializes in paninis, and they did not disappoint.
Those fries were especially delicious. Ready to go back!
Sometimes you need a restaurant salad, and both of these were amazing.
Fancy sandwiches are still happening.
Mexican will always be on rotation, this time a “kale taco salad”
with homemade guacamole and homemade salsa.
A moment of silence for the last pesto of the year.
We cooked the first pot of our Tiger Eye beans!
They were extremely delicious, especially with Canadian bacon.

Although I am deeply saddened by the end of pesto season, I am excited about the return of kale and sweet potatoes; savory soups served with crusty cheese toast. And our beans! To think that we grew those beans ourselves, and to have them turn out so very delicious: I’m impressed!

What flavors are you excited for as we transition into Fall?
